The cost depends heavily on the extent of cytoreductive surgery, organs or bowel segments that may need resection, operating time, intensive or high-dependency care, pathology, complications, length of stay and whether the operation can proceed to HIPEC after surgical assessment.

The operation can range from limited to very extensive

Cytoreductive surgery is tailored to the distribution of peritoneal disease. The required resections cannot always be predicted precisely from imaging, which is why a generic quote can be misleading.
