Each treatment-to-center link is added manually from a source published by the hospital, university medical center or specialist department itself. The supporting source was last reviewed on 2026-08-29.
Minimum evidence required
A center is included only when we can verify both the treatment capability and the wider hospital identity.
- An official specialist-service page documents the treatment, procedure or program.
- The service belongs to a named German hospital, university medical center or specialist department.
- The underlying hospital has a verifiable official website and contact route.
- For international-patient planning, we prefer hospitals that publish an International Patient Office or comparable pathway.
- The source must be current enough to support the statement being made.
What “verified” does not mean
Verification is deliberately limited. It does not mean that Treat in Germany has audited clinical outcomes or recommends one center over another.
- It is not a “best hospital” ranking.
- It is not a paid placement or guarantee of preferential access.
- It does not prove that a center is clinically appropriate for a particular patient.
- It does not guarantee that the center currently has capacity or will accept an international case.
- It does not compare complication rates, survival, waiting times or physician performance unless a future page has a separately documented methodology for those data.
How we handle medical indications
A hospital may offer a procedure without that procedure being appropriate for every person with the same diagnosis. Treatment guides therefore separate the existence of a specialist program from the clinical indication. Individual eligibility must be decided by qualified clinicians after reviewing the medical record.
How we handle commercial relationships
Editorial inclusion in the verified-centers directory must not depend on payment, referral fees or future lead-generation agreements. If Treat in Germany later has a commercial relationship with a provider, that relationship must be disclosed separately and must not alter the factual evidence threshold used for this directory.
Source maintenance and removals
Hospital programs, URLs, staff and international-patient policies can change. We re-check source links during editorial updates. If an official source disappears or no longer supports the statement, the treatment-to-center link should be corrected, downgraded to an unverified note or removed until it can be re-established from a current source.
Use official quality data separately
Our verified-center mapping confirms that a service is publicly documented; it does not replace statutory hospital quality data. Patients who want to research department structure, reported activity, quality reports or meaningful certifications should also use the Bundes-Klinik-Atlas, G-BA quality reports and disease-specific certification systems. Corrections
If a hospital, clinician or reader identifies an outdated or incorrect center link, send the official source and the correction request to info@treatingermany.com. We prioritize corrections that affect patient planning, contact routes or clinical-service claims.
