TAVI and surgical AVR have different cost drivers
A TAVI estimate can be strongly influenced by the transcatheter valve system, access planning and catheter-based procedure. A surgical valve-replacement estimate includes cardiac surgery, prosthesis selection, anesthesia, intensive care and the post-operative inpatient course.

Compare written estimates for the same treatment plan

Expect advance payment and final reconciliation
German university-hospital international offices commonly calculate an estimate after medical review and request advance payment before treatment. The final invoice reflects the services actually delivered, so unused funds may be refunded or additional payment may be required.
