How German university hospitals calculate an international-patient estimate
Official international offices describe an individualized process: medical records are reviewed first, the responsible department prepares a treatment plan, and the administrative team then calculates an estimate using the applicable German billing framework. The estimate is not the same as a guaranteed final invoice.

Compare like with like
When comparing quotations, check whether both hospitals are pricing the same expected episode of care. A lower figure is not necessarily cheaper if it excludes services assumed in another estimate.
